Kevin Sherkin has been appointed to the board of directors for Drone Delivery Canada (DDC). Sherkin was called to the Ontario bar in 1987 after graduating from Osgood Hall with a J.D. in 1985. He is the founding member and is the current managing director of Levine Sherkin Boussidan Professional Corporation. Sherkin is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Advocate Society. While his practice involves a wide range of civil litigation, his focus has been primarily on business-related litigation. Sherkin has served as a director past for both private and public companies and in his previous board tenures he served on finance committees, compliance committees and compensation committees. Sherkin replaces Richard Buzbuzian on the board of directors. Previously, Buzbuzian was also president of DDC and will assume the new role of head of capital markets and will remain actively involved and be responsible for corporate finance matters, investor relations and day to day finance activities of the corporation. Buzbuzian has also joined DDC’s Advisory Board.
Eric Grundmeier has been named chief supply officer of REGO Restaurant Group – the fast-casual restaurant platform backed by High Bluff Capital Partners that includes Quiznos and Taco Del Mar. Grundmeier will oversee all supply chain systems and processes, including sourcing and quality control. Previously, Grundmeier served as a vice-president of supply chain and quality assurance (QA) for PepperJax Grill and a senior vice-president of manufacturing and supply chain for Einstein Noah Restaurant Group. Earlier in his career, he served as vice-president of supply chain and quality assurance with Qdoba Restaurant Corporation, where he worked during a fourteen-year period of rapid growth, building up the supply chain and QA departments as the number of restaurant locations grew from 23 to 629.
Robert (Bob) Pocica has joined Overhaul Group, Inc. as senior advisor to the company’s board of directors. Pocica’s 40 years of experience in law enforcement, security, pharma and supply chain management make him a valuable resource and an asset to Overhaul during a period of significant growth and continued commitment to supply chain innovation. At the beginning of his career, Pocica served as a Special Agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) where he spent 23 years establishing himself as a trusted, expert resource in all areas of an organization’s risk mitigation operations. Pocica then went on to serve as the senior director of global security at Pfizer Pharmaceutical. Most recently, Pocica was the SVP & CSO of McKesson where he was responsible for all aspects of security, including supply-chain security, and offered strategic guidance for enterprise risk mitigation.
